The AlDub Phenomenon

Maybe you already read write-ups about how this accidental love team was formed from the different blogs in the internet.

This fever, should I say, the AlDub fever took over the social media by storm. July 16, 2015 was when this phenomenon was formed or was noticed. I will not further explain the details because if you're eager enough to know you'll just type "ALDUB" in your search engine and you'll be shown the list of different blogs with details of how this love team came about. So as not to be redundant, SEARCH NIYO NA LANG hahahahaha.

The guy, Alden Richards, or Richard Faulkerson Jr. in real life, is already an established actor in the GMA Network, while the gal, Maine Mendoza, a.k.a. Yaya Dub, or Nicomaine Dei Mendoza in real life, was cast by EAT BULAGA to be the assistant or Yaya of Lola Nidora, whose role is being played by Mr. Wally Bayola.

Week after weeks, this topic gets the top spot in the trend list in the Philippines and Worldwide, may it be in Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Social media and the hearts of millions were captured by this team up.

This segment (Kalyeserye) and the program (Eat Bulaga!) have now garnered praises and recognition from the different sectors, because Kalyeserye is not just all about the kilig and love, it also teaches the viewing people about the correct ways of courting the ladies, and also, it brings back the old romantic ways and culture of Filipinos: harana, pag-iigib ng tubig, etc.

The beauty of Kalyeserye is, there are no script, all the happenings are spontaneous and are not rehearsed, the flow of the story per episode are well, I should say, is dictated by the writers but the words and reactions are all natural, ON THE SPOT NGA KA MO EH.

It started as just an on-screen acting or role- playing but now, many and millions can say and can feel that this role- playing of the two, is going to continue even when the cameras are off. Even though the two are not admitting anything yet, the fans and the avid followers of Kalyeserye can see the spark in their eyes and can understand the gestures of ALDUB.

I am a fan, and I would like to see Alden and Maine continue this blossoming relationship outside of Kalyeserye. I know, and we, fans know that you two already developed deeper and true feelings for each other, but we also understand that you two are just waiting for the right time, TAMANG PANAHON, to start to accept those feelings and act on it. Meng (Maine's Nickname) is very transparent with her true feelings for Alden, 'WAG MO NANG I- DENY, KITANG- KITA NAMAN KASI EH" and Alden, at first, he was apprehensive to share and denies his feelings to the viewing public. But came the episode of September 12, 2015, the Kidnapping episode, that kilig moment of his, said it all. DUDE, DENY MU PA, KUKURUTIN NA KITA! He said in an interview in Cebu, he will make his move: start getting to know her more, etc., after the much- awaited episode in Kalyeserye, TAMANG PANAHON.
